Bluff Marys
It is that time of year so why not...there is nothing better than a bluff Mary...she is a lovely girl and even better in a shot... this is a bit of a twist on a bloody Mary incorporating the ever lovely and sublime Bluff Oyster..! Enjoy and serve in shot glasses.
Serves heaps or one giant oyster fan (pig or connoisseur)
2 dozen fresh Bluff Oysters
Tabasco sauce or Katiaia Fire
2 lemons
Tomato juice
Sea salt and cracked black pepper
Vodka - Good brand and preferably not the wino under bridge brand
Worchester sauce
Celery stalks (only if required and preferred)
1. Okay...pretty simple really...get the shot glasses set up... one per oyster... add an oyster per glass...!
2. Mix the tomato juice with lemon juice, Tabasco sauce (or similar), salt and pepper, Worcester sauce and a good glug of vodka. Check and double check seasoning..! and the vodka..!
3. To the shot glasses add the tomato mix and float the oysters...add a small stick of celery if require. Sprinkle with a little of sea salt and serve.
4. Enjoy !
